prāngaṇa — Heritage-Inspired Design

Rooted in Indian spatial intelligence. Built for how people live now.

Culture-led and heritage-inspired interior design in India — drawing on Indian architectural traditions (courtyards, thresholds, stepwells, traditional materials) and translating them into contemporary residential and hospitality spaces.

Heritage-inspired design at Prangana does not mean reproduction. It means translation. We study Indian spatial traditions — the courtyard logic of old pol houses, the threshold sequences of havelis, the thermal intelligence of stepwells, the material knowledge of traditional craftsmanship — and we identify the principles underneath the forms. Those principles become the starting point for contemporary work.

This approach is what gives our interiors their quality of rootedness. They are not nostalgic. They are not decorated with Indian motifs. They are designed from the inside out, with spatial and material intelligence that comes from a tradition that solved real problems over centuries.

We apply this thinking to hospitality projects, residential interiors, and commercial spaces across India.
